Black Panther: Wakanda Forever Isn’t Off To A Good Start

Wakanda forever

Plot?

Wakanda Forever mourns the passing of King T’Challa. The Queen, having lost her husband and son, is feeling the burden of leading the world’s greatest Nation. Meanwhile Namor, the Sub-Mariner, has arrived and perhaps wants to take over while Wakanda has no defender on the throne.

Wakanda Forever Trailer Roast

The trailer opens with “No Woman, No Cry” and the nation is in shambles as its true leader is gone (Shuri is sad, and everyone else is dancing).

Marvel has done the fall of a hero before with Iron Man, but because of the passing of Chadwick Boseman, everyone will get emotional and give this movie infinite passes.

Chadwick Boseman’s passing is sad and I’m sorry for his family’s loss. That aside, in my opinion, the Black Panther character stopped being interesting once he let Baron Zemo live and got the “simp” treatment in his solo movie.

Back to the trailer, T’Challa’s mom “I am Queen” speech was nice and all but why didn’t M’Baku take the throne already? We even see an underwater birth scene (all hail ovaries!)

The scene transitions to a whole underwater civilization rising up because no other man in Wakanda is willing to be king. (At this point just call it Mama-kanda)

The trailer shows Namor the Submariner and blue Atlantians (blue people from Avatar) the trailer goes full special effects with explosions and at the end you see the butt of the Black Panther suit with some claws. Many people believe its Shuri.

Almost forgot to mention Iron Heart makes an appearance in this movie. (The MCU still is shoving trash tier characters on screen.)

I got heavy vibes from The Woman King with this movie, a world where men don’t exist or are weak and the women are the all-star team. Throwing missiles and dunking on planes. I don’t like what I’m seeing so far. But I know this movie will do numbers strictly off the Chadwick homage.

Wakanda Forever Conclusion

I might give this a watch, but my expectations are low.
